The Partners

BREEDCAFS is a collaborative research project and its consortium includes representatives from the different parties of the international coffee value chain:

Industry

Industry (including SME) is at the center of this project. Industry participation, involvement and implementation of specific activities dedicated to validation (on-farm experiments WP3), demonstration and validation (WP4), promotion and dissemination (WP5) will enable translation of the project results into marketable products. The work in WP1 and WP3 will
facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices between academia and industry, benefiting the development or optimization of project solutions. The platform dialogues in WP4 will be used not only to test solutions in real conditions, but will provide an excellent opportunity for companies to get in contact with farmers seeking solutions for a supply of coffee product with attributes of traceability, sustainability, and quality. Results generated in the project will be assessed in terms of IPR and whether necessary protection of the result is required.
